gig posters

I have a real thing for gig posters, in fact you are going to see lots on this blog that relates to image and typography. I think they are just beautiful and wish we had more of a culture of gig posters here in the uk like they seem to in the u s of a. Here are just a few to whet your appetite. I designed my first poster a few months ago and it was pretty useless, it is defiantly an area that I want to explore. Not necessarily for use in posters but making more of text and image in my films.







there are some great websites that collect loads of the posters together. One I visit often is www.gigposters.com and I always hope that something I want appears in the classified!
